NEW YORK, NY, November 1, 2006 -- Register.com, a leading provider of global domain name registration and Internet services, today announced the appointment of Larry Kutscher, as Chief Executive Officer of Register.com.

Kutscher comes to Register.com from Dun & Bradstreet, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Small Business Group. During his tenure at Dun & Bradstreet, Kutscher helped grow and build many Internet-enabled businesses, including the acquisition and development of Hoover's. He was a member of Dun & Bradstreet's Global Leadership Team since joining in 2001.

"Register.com is a premier Internet brand that is poised to grow into one of the real leaders in the Internet services arena as our customers expand their online business activities," said Kutscher. "My mission is to energize the Register.com team with a new spirit of innovation as we sustain our track record of excellent customer service."

Throughout his career, Kutscher has distinguished himself as a builder of large online businesses that profitably reach huge numbers of small- to medium-sized organizations. Prior to his position at Dun & Bradstreet, Kutscher served as Managing Director of Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs & Co., and spent twelve years at American Express where his last position was as Senior Vice President of Interactive Enterprise Development. Kutscher holds a political science degree from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

In 2005, Vector Capital - a San Francisco, CA-based private equity boutique specializing in buyouts, spinouts and the recapitalization of established technology businesses - became a majority owner of Register.com with its acquisition of the company for approximately $200 million.

"Larry Kutscher brings the perfect combination of vision and execution to his new role," said Amish Mehta, partner at Vector Capital. "Register.com will benefit tremendously from Larry's leadership experience and his proven ability to grow businesses through a combination of new initiatives and acquisitions."
